This was our 1st Sunday night session, and more than likely our last. DND Monthlys will now be moved to Mondays, 'til further notice [dates may change if we have guest dj(s)]. The reason why we threw June's monthly on Sunday was because Ticus said he might make it down. Since Ticus basically left for Seattle pennyless, there was no way he could afford to come down. We all wish Matt good luck in Seattle, & we hope to see him @ Strength l8r this summer.
Since it was just us residents again, so we got started a lil' l8r than normal. The music started around 11pm w/ Mattius' Rural Graffiti set. Man damn, that was some sorry-ass mixing. Mattius got pissed off, stopped the records, & then we sat in silence. Not kewl! He def needs to get his punkass in the studio more often. To Mattius: Ha, ha, told ya I was gonna talk some sh*t bout cha on da forum! Maybe if we could get some people to come out to our events, then maybe it would give him some more motivation.
Amanda took the pics on her camera this time, so it may be a lil' while before I get 'em on the Dark 'N' Dank Recordings MySpace page. The Previous Events forum will be notified when the pics are uploaded.
I have been working on a NEW mix called, Stimulus Package for the last few days. I played a unfinished version @ Sunday's monthly. It still needs a lot of work as far as beatmatching goes, but the hooks are definitely there. I have halted progress on Hostile Takeover, but I plan to get back on it real soon. I am hoping to have Hostile Takeover finished before the end of July.
*Vote on the Brick House VIP Events forum on which night we should have July's DND Monthly. Whatever night it is, we plan to grill out, & play DnB. We cooked out on Monday, & we def need to cookout like that before July's monthly, on the real tip! Gonna perhaps print a few flyers & pass 'em out for July's, but we can't go too overboard. Brick House only holds bout 20-25 people, so we have to be somewhat selective. The sound system has been slightly improved, w/ the addition of a 8" sub + 2 small mid-range monitors (for a fuller sound on the 'dancefloor' / chill area). Sounds good!!!
ENCDNB site creator, Jason Tupper has been hanging out more often since he moved behind Brick House. How freakin' convienent is that?! Now if we just get him, back on this forum & over for the parties we'd be in good shape.
Hope to see all you kewl kids in July...don't forget to vote on the date*!!! EZ.
