Well, I made it out to Feb.'s DND Monthly, & I was glad I did!

For those who didn't know, I had surgery on Tuesday, & I prob should have stayed home

But, suffering thru the pain was completely worth it!

to Mattius & Amanda for helping w/ equipment setup , couldn't have done it w/o cha!

I took a while to get the sound up, but I think it sounded pretty damn good. I think next show we will have to work with the soundguy to get The Dive's system's bass to hit harder (feel it wasn't as bass-heavy as it was in November).

Unfortunately, my girlfriend was stuck @ home w/ a 3-yr old, so I missed the first 45-min of Cellular Lab's set hanging out w/ her (good ting we live so close to The Dive!)

The last hour of Cell Lab's set that I heard was ultra
Lots of funky downtempo/liquid dnb

Mattius came on next, dropping some seriously dope liquid funkage!
The ladies really seemed to groove to his set
He wasn't gonna record his set, but I'm glad he did! (Mixes from encdnb.com djs forum )


After Mattius, I dropped my jungle/dnb set that I posted in January
I had a rough time getting used to the system, so my first mix had a lil' rough patch in it
However, I was pleased w/ the majority of my set & the crowd seemed to be diggin' it!
Surprisingly, for the most part, everyone wasn't scared off the dancefloor by da darkstep @ the end of my set.
Expect plenty more dark jungle from the Dark 'N' Dank cru next time

Ticus came on last
He started his set w/ some hiphop/dubstep, but once he heard dude scream, "drop some ragga", things went nuts
I felt once Ticus began dropping ragga, the crowd really went wild (wot was left of us @ least )
Ragga has been going over really well the last two shows @ The Dive, & Ticus was straight up

The smoking lounge/bar area was like a parallel universe
It was filled w/ drunk rednex , singing, "Alcohol", & "Sweet Home Alabama"
Well, at least it kept the regulars happy.

Next party @ The Dive will more than likely be in April on a Friday night.
Seems that more young people hang out there on Fri. nites.
Shooting for April 18th for our next Dive show, but not yet confirmed.
Details will be posted under Upcoming Events forum @ the end of March.

Big ups to the Cellular Lab Project & Dj Ticus for coming down!
I didn't come out to the beach house, but I was lucky to make it to the show

Had a good turnout, still small, but we're growing. Lots of new faces on the dance floor, thanks to the ladies who broke it off during my set, glad you all were digging it. Thanks to Ticus and Cell Lab for coming down and playing. LyNkZ's set sounded great through the wall, I had to work the door for a little while during it, but that's part of running the show I guess. Well, I guess it's back to the studio till the next one.....be sure to check out the live recordings of the Feb. show on our forum.

No LyNkZ Thank you. for being such a kick ass DJ! This party was the shit, aside from computers sitting on the porch . I Loved hearing my Mattius killing it on the Decks! LyNkZ really brought it to us with his set, wish he could of played both parts but I completely understand. I can't wait to download it to the i pod. I loved when Ticus broke it off at the end of his set, but I could of done without gay dude . and Lotus Tell Jess to get better for us, sorry you couldn't be here this time... so you better play two sets next time we see you. can't wait till April and I hope to see everybody soon.

Wish I could had made it! I keep hearing how much I missed out on a great party!

I hope everybody enjoyed and that we all can get back together soon! Next time, hopefully I will be able to go to the party and not just listen to DNB on my iPod.
