Originally
from Las Vegas, NV and now residing in Boone, NC. DrM began Djing Breaks
around 98-99 and began playing gigs here and there under his name, Will
Dotson, and occasionally under the alias enraged with the Indy label,
Electric Mayhem.
Around 2000, he began doing a live hip hop internet show
on smoothbeats.com under the name, J-Lounge Productions in a small
studio at a friend's house with various guest MCs until 2003. In 2006,
after several relocations across the states, he returned to
smoothbeats.com under the name, DrMaDneSS with a solo show that was and
continues to this day to be very jazz and downtempo influenced.
His Jekyll side consists of the dubby, glitchy and often experimental
side of things can be found with what he does with a-frame records which
pushes the darker side of various forms of electronic music.
